On June 10, 1998 I had the unfortunate experience of having to put an animal to sleep. It was my goose, Aesop. He had broken his leg and gotten sick and there was no other choice. My Mom and I drove to Melbourne to a special"Bird Vet" and that is where we were told what we had to do. We left the office without our goose and we cried the whole way home.

This was the summer that Jason and I started dating and later that same day, I made us lunch and took it over to the skateboard shop where he was living/working. I got there and when I saw him a started to cry. He held me and calmed me down and we ate lunch together. This is why I remember this day...after we ate we stood up to say goodbye. He looked at me with "that look" and kissed me for the first time. Since then we consider this our anniversary of sorts, other that our wedding anniversary.

So, Happy 79th month Anniversary, Jason! I love you.

P.S. What'd you get me?

I love you too. I got you two beautiful daughters. I know, I know, they don't look like diamonds. I'm working on it.

Happy anniversary honey!

This wasn't the goose that attacked people was it? You know the one where we had to keep a stick near the door just to walk outside? If so, well you know my history with that particular goose. It would be nice to know that goose's existence led to something positive (you and Jason).

Nah...that goose mysteriously "disappeared" one weekend when mom and I had gone out of town. Dad said he went to live on a, right.
