Crock Pot Tuesday

Brown Sugar Chicken from A Year of Crockpotting

Ingredients:
12 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or 6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. lemon-lime soda
2/3 c. vinegar or white wine
3 cloves smashed and chopped garlic
2 T soy sauce
1 tsp ground black pepper

Directions:
Use a 5-6 quart crock pot
Plop the chicken into the crockpot.
Cover with the brown sugar, pepper, chopped garlic, and soy sauce.
Add the vinegar and pour in soda. It will bubble.
Cover and cook on low for 6-9 hours or high for 4-5 hours. The chicken is done when it is cooked through and has reached desired consistency. The longer you cook it the more tender it will be.
Serve over a bowl of rice with a ladle full of broth.

Enjoy!

I have all these ingredients here today except the soda. I do have Mountain dew in the pantry that I used in another recipe. You think that would be ok to use instead of the lemon-lime soda? Well, I'm going to do it anyway.

It sound delish. Eric and Hazel will at least eat it. Jagger still only eats like 5 things so...
